Here at the Send Me Your Ears studio today, we’ve been listening to the latest single from Jane N’ The Jungle. We’ve reviewed this Arizona-based band a couple of times before, and have always been impressed with world-class vocals, superb musicians and tracks that demand your attention. Unsurprisingly, this made us super-excited to hear their latest single, Bed Of Roses, out today, 21 July 2023.
Bed of Roses does not fail to disappoint, with its attention-grabbing fuzz bass line that introduces the listener, with some exciting panned driven guitars. When the vocals come in, the drive on them gives them that extra edge, lending the track to comparisons to garage/emo rock and a vocal style reminiscent of Gwen Stefani.
The choruses are catchy, and by the time the second one comes around, you’re singing along, we guarantee it! “Bed of roses, sugar and spice, milk and honey, cold as ice.”
The rise and fall in this track keeps the listener’s interest easily, rising for the choruses and dropping back for the verses nicely. The middle 8 has some exciting drum fills before rising back into another chorus, and we love the double chorus section here with Jordan (vocals) riffing over the top and demonstrating some superb vocal gymnastics!
An instrumental section with distant driven guitars ends beautifully with some fast triplet runs. The drums are a real driving feature of this track: prominent in the mix, and making an intoxicating rhythm for the listener to really get their teeth into.
We like the repeated vocal line, “we hope you like the show,” to the end. This feels like something which would go down an absolute storm as an opening track at a gig. A long-held guitar note with feedback sounds as it tails off finishes this commercially viable track, leaving Jane N’ The Jungle with another winner!

Ideas from our ears
To our ears, the open hi-hat was making the drum track a little piercing in places so a cut in the overheads around 8-9kHz could help reduce this sound. An overall high-shelf boost around 12kHz would increase the brightness and ‘air’ in the track too. As always, these are just some ideas from our ears.
Final thoughts
Jane N’ The Jungle are producing consistently creative and attention-grabbing rock music. We strongly urge you to add them to your playlist today!
