Mick J. Clark’s track , “Anuther Sunny Hulliday” is a bright and breezy 4 minute escape from the realities of life. It reminded me in a way of Cliff Richard… but then perhaps that was just the song title and the repeated reminder of Summer Holidays!
“Anuther Sunny Hulliday” has nice bright production and I was instantly drawn in in the first 20 seconds or so. It has a Cuban feel to it as well as a late 80s Stock, Aitken and Waterman feel. I’m thinking Jason Donovan… I bet I could guess Mick’s age from the influences in this track!
Lyrically a little cliched, but in a song like this that’s not a bad thing.
I loved the drums and percussion on this track in particular. They’re well played and really add to the overall feel of the song. This song just wouldn’t work without this style of percussion. It really puts you in the holiday mood.

Absolute kudos on the backing vocals. Really strikingly good work here. They have a real ABBA feel to them, and these guys were just genius at adding in backing vocals.
Whilst the overall track is bright and well produced, I felt that the lead vocals could use a little boost in the upper EQ ranges. They felt a little lifeless to me in a track that was otherwise pretty catchy. My interest level dropped as they came in and it seemed that some tiny adjustments could have maintained that interest for me.
“Anuther Sunny Hulliday” is a song I recommend if you’re packing for a couple of weeks in the sun or even if, like most of us right now, you’d like to be!
