SAMSEB KIERKEGAARD is set to release his latest track, Luna: Luna Moonlight on January 28th 2022. He describes the track as a “dystopian fantasy” and I can see why. There’s an art rock feel to the style of the song in places.
I particularly loved the swirling, stereo intro that leaves the listener guessing what’s going to happen right up until the spectacular and confident drum fill comes crashing in and gets the song moving.
I’m drawn in to the stereo effects and panning on this song. Beautiful acoustic guitar in the right speaker and supremely powerful electric guitar carry this song along perfectly.
The drums are played especially well, and the snare drum pokes through just right. It has been well recorded and has just the smack that this track needs.

This is a thick, full sounding track that is right in your face from the moment it starts. A really smooth EQ across the board, but in my opinion too much compression on the overall track leaves it smashing up against the limiter with little space to breathe and give the dynamics that I feel would really bring this number to life a little more. Don’t get me wrong, its a dominant, balls on the floor kind of song, but for me, the issue was that none of the lyrics were discernible which left me a little disappointed, having read the press release and been interested by the subject matter.
That aside, I have to say, this song holds a unique artistry that only comes from greats such as David Bowie. Its creative, deliciously eccentric and distinctive. I look forward to hearing more from this artist.
We give this track four ears out of five
